Data Collection & Lawful Basis
Collection Scope
Avion Advisory acts as a Data Controller. We collect only the minimum personal and corporate data required for the performance of our advisory contracts. This includes identity data for mandatory KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) compliance.
Lawful Basis: Data processing is conducted under the legal basis of Contractual Necessity (to fulfill our engagement) and Legal Obligation (to comply with international aviation and financial regulations).
Confidentiality & Data Security
Security Framework
We employ enterprise-standard encryption and secure data-room environments for all transaction-related documentation. Communication regarding asset specifications and client identities is restricted to encrypted channels.
Limitation: While we implement rigorous technical safeguards, the transmission of information via the internet or email is never entirely secure. Avion Advisory cannot be held liable for breaches occurring within third-party infrastructure beyond our direct control.
Third-Party Disclosures
Disclosure Policy
We do not sell or monetize client data. Data is shared exclusively with "Transaction Essentials"—such as Escrow Agents (e.g., Insured Aircraft Title Service), National Aviation Authorities (FAA/LBA), and Technical Inspectors—only when necessary to execute a Bill of Sale or Title Transfer.
Sanctions Screening: Data may be processed through third-party screening tools to ensure compliance with international sanctions (OFAC/EU) before a transaction proceeds.
Data Sovereignty & Rights
Data Control
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, or request the erasure of your data.
Retention: Please note that certain data must be retained for up to 10 years to comply with German tax law and international aviation safety record-keeping requirements. To exercise your rights, contact us at alonso@avionadvisory.com.
